Chelsea performed a lot better than expected in the first leg. The atmosphere in Frankfurt is very unique and intimidating. They did very well to overcome this and were rather unlucky not to come away with a first leg lead. Chelsea did however get an away goal which can always be pivotal in these European fixtures.
